Traffic Control Technicians (TCTs) are responsible for setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices such as cones, barrels, barricades, signs, and arrow boards to guide traffic safely around construction sites, highways, bridges, and tunnels. They direct and monitor traffic flow,using hand signals, stop signs, or temporary barriers to prevent accidents and ensure smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Technicians also coordinate with construction crews to ensure that work zones are safe and that traffic control measures are effective.
