    S-95 Security Guard

    The S-95 Security Guard is responsible for the continuous monitoring of the venue's fire alarm control panel and ensuring the safety of all guests, staff, and performers. This role serves as the primary liaison between the venue and the FDNY during fire-related incidents, ensuring that all Fire Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed.

    Required:

    • Certification: Must possess a valid FDNY S-95 Certificate of Fitness (Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems).
    • Licensing: Valid New York State Security Guard License.
    • Experience: 2+ years of security experience in a high-occupancy NYC Assembly space (Concert Hall, Theater, or Arena).
    • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Fire Alarm Control Panel operations and the ability to distinguish between smoke detector activations and water flow alarms.
    • Focus: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and authoritative during emergency evacuations.

    Physical Demands/Working Environment:

    • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
    • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
    • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques

    $30.00 USD Hourly
