    Job Title:

    Traffic Operator- Over Nights

    Salary:

    $30/hr-$35/hr

    Location:

    Northern New Jersey / New York City

    Position Description:

    The technician will play a key role in monitoring closed-circuit TVs, radio communications, police and fire scanners, incident detector devices, and assess roadway conditions for traffic, weather, and overall operations. Provides traveler information in the event of an accident by activation of highway advisory radio devices and dynamic/variable message boards. Reports and notifies maintenance personnel of highway incidents or weather conditions. Notifies State Police of vehicles that must be removed that may pose a safety hazard. Performs other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities include:

    Maintaining and troubleshooting network devices, camera systems, access control, and vehicle tag readers.

    Performing firmware and configuration updates on network systems.

    Incident coordination in ITSM tool

    Collaborating with support teams to ensure systems are fully functional and aligned with customer needs.

    Remote technical support for systems users

    Explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients.

    Building and maintaining customer relationships.

    Performing additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

    Relevant experience in traffic or road construction, or similar fields.

    Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and on-call rotation.

    Physical capability to perform tasks that include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.

    Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

    Knowledge of LAN/WAN fundamentals and troubleshooting experience with Windows and MS Office.

    Strong English communication skills, with additional languages (Spanish, French, or German) as a plus.
