    Armed Security Officer

    Position Summary

    First Responder Protective Services (FRPS) is hiring an Armed Security Officer to staff a Community Neighborhood site in the Mesquite area near Lake Ray Hubbard. We are seeking a professional, reliable, and alert security officer available for shifts during the week and weekend coverage. This position requires a visible presence to ensure security of the residents and property in a developed neighborhood using a company provided security patrol vehicle.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Mobil and Foot Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of residents, staff, and property.
    • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents.
    • Monitor entrances, access points, and surveillance systems.
    • Enforce community rules and regulations while maintaining a professional presence.
    • Prepare detailed incident and activity reports as required.
    • Monitor site activity and coordinate with remote monitoring systems for incident response
    • Remain alert and proactive in identifying and reporting security concerns
    • Follow all post orders and supervisor instructions
    Minimum Requirements
    • Must hold a current Level III Texas Commissioned Security License
    • Must be current on firearms qualification
    • Must have a valid Texas Driver's License (or ability to obtain before starting)
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
    • Ability to work independently or with a team
    • Able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
    Shifts (Subject to change over summer vs school year)
    • Thursday - 6pm - 12am
    • Friday - Sunday 12pm -4pm & 6pm -12am
    Preferred Qualifications
    • 1 year or more of armed guard experience
    • Site security or patrol experience
    • Experience using radios, surveillance systems, or reporting platforms
    Uniform & Equipment
    • FRPS Provides: Uniform shirt, hats, cold weather gear, OC spray.
    • Officer Provides: Duty firearm, ammunition (must be on FRPS-approved list), minimum Level 3 retention holster, duty pants, black boots
    Compensation & Advancement
    • Hourly Pay: $$20.00 -$22.00 (based on experience and availability)
    • Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly via direct deposit
    • Status: W2 employee (eligible for overtime after 40 hours in a workweek)
    • Shifts: 7 hours per day 7 days a week
    Full-Time Employee Benefits
    • Paid Time Off (PTO):
      • 1st Year: Accrue up to 7 days (56 hours)
      • 2nd Year: Accrue up to 10 days (80 hours)
      • 5th Year and beyond: Accrue up to 15 days (120 hours)
    • Health Insurance:
      • Company pays up to $300/month toward employee's health insurance
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (eligible after first month)
    • Retirement:
      • 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match
