    Job Description:

    Main responsibilities include answering telephone calls, greeting visitors, processing museum admission fees, handling merchandise sales and general administrative support for the Capricorn Sound Studios and Museum at Mercer Music at Capricorn. Students will receive training in ticketing and point-of-sale software and basic museum operations. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the museum is ready for visitors, setting up for special events, stocking merchandise and completing other tasks as assigned. Mercer Music at Capricorn is located at 540 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, which is in downtown Macon, so applicant must have transportation. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

    The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is committed to customer service and has great organizational skills. The ability to work well with others is necessary, and applicants must have some experience with computers. Good communication skills and a mode of transportation are necessary.

    Pay Rate: $10.00/hour
