    Traffic Control Team Member/Flagger
    Job Summary

    C.R. Jackson is hiring a Traffic Control Team Member to support our road construction crews by safely controlling traffic around active job sites. In this role, you'll help protect both thepublic and our team by ensuring traffic flows safely and efficiently through work zones.

    You'll work alongside a supportive team that values safety, accountability, and doing the job right, with opportunities to gain experience and grow within the construction industry.

    What You'll Do
    • Direct traffic using hand signals, signs, and other traffic control devices
    • Communicate with other flaggers using radios to safely manage two-way traffic
    • Set up and remove traffic control devices including cones, barricades, and warning signs
    • Monitor traffic flow and alert the crew to any safety concerns
    • Record license plate numbers of motorists who fail to follow directions when necessary
    • Assist with general job site duties including cleanup and material handling
    • Maintain a clean and safe work zone at all times
    • Communicate respectfully and work together to keep operations running safely and efficiently
    • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
    What We're Looking For
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Flagger certification (ATSSA preferred, or willingness to obtain)
    • Knowledge of traffic control and roadway safety practices
    • Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
    • Professional and courteous communication with the public and team members
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
    • Reliable attendance and strong commitment to safety
    • Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed
    • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
