Summary
The Fire Mitigation Specialist is responsible for executing wildfire mitigation strategies and programs aligned with the organization's Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP). This includes implementing comprehensive fire mitigation initiatives and supporting emergency response efforts. The role serves as a key liaison between the organization and external agencies, contributing to wildfire prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery activities. Additionally, the position integrates fire mitigation strategies into utility operations and infrastructure protection, while collaborating with land management agencies to strengthen wildfire resilience across SRP's water and power service territories.

A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred. A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 9 years may be considered.
Additional Requirements and Qualifications
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
