Our Traffic Services Division is seeking flaggers to help maintain the safety of construction sites and the motoring public.

    Reports to: Field Supervisor

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones, including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to DOT regulations.
    • Tow and staff arrow boards and attenuator trucks.
    • Through effective flagging and navigating the worksite, maintain personal safety, the safety of clients, co-workers and the general public.
    • Follow training and uphold safety protocols.
    • Aware and vigilant of surroundings to spot safety hazards.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, co-workers and general public.
    • Fill out and submit required paperwork/documentation.
    • Other job duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; must have at least two years of driving experience.
    • Must be able to work under pressure and react to potential danger in an urgent manner.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain.
    • Able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required.
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
    • Be physically capable to perform all flagging duties.
    • This position does not allow for frequent breaks.

    Compensation:

    • $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
