    TEST REGISTRATION DEADLINE TO BE DETERMINED AND MAY CLOSE WITHOUT NOTICE City of Irving is currently accepting registration for the next Firefighter entrance examination. Registrants will be notified when the examination date has been set. The notificationwill inform of further action to be taken in order to reserve a test.     • Must be a U.S. citizen
    • Must be between the ages of 21 and 40 to be hired
    • Must have high school diploma or GED
    • If time was served in the military, must have proof of discharge under honorable conditions
    • Must have a good driving record
    • Must have a clear arrest record
    • Must have good credit rating
    • Must have good hearing in both ears
    • Vision must be correctable to 20/20; must be able to distinguish the colors red, green and yellow
