    The Flex Security Patrol Officer (Day/Swing/Grave/Weekend) is a dependable, adaptable, and highly responsive team member responsible for covering high-priority shifts across multiple sites. This role is critical in maintaining a strong presence during afternoon, overnight, weekend, and high-activity operational hours, ensuring safety, deterrence, and rapid response.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide coverage for swing shifts, graveyard shifts, and weekend assignments across multiple locations
    • Provide high-visibility patrol and access control at client sites
    • Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter criminal activity during high-risk hours
    • Conduct proactive patrols (foot and/or vehicle) with an emphasis on deterrence and engagement
    • Monitor entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to maintain site security
    • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and service calls with urgency and professionalism
    • Observe, document, and report all incidents, hazards, and suspicious activity
    • Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports using company platforms
    • Enforce site-specific rules, policies, and safety protocols
    • Utilize company-issued equipment (radio, body camera, patrol vehicle) in accordance with policy
    • Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, clients, and the public
    • Build rapport with businesses, tenants, and community members during patrols
    • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at all times
    • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with company expectations and operational needs
    Technology & Equipment Use:
    • Use of company-designated platforms for reporting, communication, and timekeeping is required
    • Ability to effectively use mobile devices, applications, and security software platforms for real-time reporting and communication
    • Monthly cell phone stipend provided to support work-related communication
    Uniform & Appearance Standards:
    • Maintain a clean, professional, and well-fitted company-issued uniform
    • Adhere to grooming and presentation standards at all times
    • Maintain a professional demeanor, appearance, and communication style reflective of company expectations
    • Ensure all uniform components are worn in accordance with assignment expectations
    Flex Expectations (Day/ Swing / Grave / Weekend):

    Availability primarily for:
      • Swing shifts (afternoon/evening)
    • Day shifts (early morning/afternoon)
    • Graveyard shifts (overnight)
    • Weekends (Friday-Sunday)
    Open availability strongly preferred to support operational needs and peak activity periodsAbility to respond to last-minute call-offs or urgent coverage needsWillingness to travel between multiple sites within assigned areaMaintain high alertness and performance during late-night/overnight hoursAbility to quickly adapt to different post orders, environments, and client expectationsDemonstrated reliability, punctuality, and responsiveness to scheduling communicationConsistent attendance is essential to maintaining eligibility for flex scheduling opportunities
    Qualifications:
    • Active BSIS Guard Card (Applicants must possess a valid California BSIS Guard Card at the time of hire. The company does not sponsor, provide, or cover the cost of obtaining guard cards)
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (if applicable)
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between job sites
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations and make sound decisions
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong report writing and documentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail
    • Ability to effectively use technology and mobile-based software platforms for reporting and communication
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Calm, professional demeanor in high-stress or overnight environments
    • Ability to carry themselves professionally and communicate clearly and respectfully at all times
    • Ability to pass a background screening consistent with position requirements
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certifications or training in less-lethal tools (e.g., less lethals, OC spray), handcuffing, or defensive tactics (preferred)
    • Valid exposed firearm permit or prior firearms training (where applicable to assignment) (preferred)
    • Military experience
    • Experience in patrol operations, event security, parking enforcement, public districts or public venue environments
    • Familiarity with mobile reporting platforms and security technology
    • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
    • Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills
    • Open availability and demonstrated ability to support varying shift demands (preferred)
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time
    • Ability to remain alert and responsive during overnight shifts
    • Capable of working outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform routine physical movements associated with patrol duties
    • Ability to safely operate a patrol vehicle (if assigned)
