Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Additional Pay: $0.25 per hour in tax-free stipends for cell phone

Position Overview:
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned campus areas, responding to incidents, and providing a visible security presence to help deter criminal activity and maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Officers will work alongside Campus Safety Officers and will utilize golf carts or similar vehicles to conduct patrols throughout the campus. This role requires strong observational skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols of assigned campus areas using a golf cart or similar patrol vehicle.
Maintain a visible security presence throughout the campus environment.
Identify and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, or security concerns.
Respond promptly to calls for service, alarms, emergencies, and incidents requiring intervention.
Work collaboratively with Campus Safety Officers and local emergency personnel when necessary.
Prepare clear and accurate daily activity and incident reports.
Assist students, staff, and visitors during emergency situations and provide exceptional customer service.
Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and applicable laws.
Available Schedules:
Officer #1 - 5-day work week (Tuesday/Wednesday off)
Officer #2 - 5-day work week (Thursday/Friday off)
Officer #3 - 4-day work week (Saturday/Sunday/Monday off)
Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent (additional training or education in criminal justice is a plus).
Valid California Guard Card required.
No firearm permit, baton permit, taser permit, or OC spray permit required.
Prior experience in private security, military service, customer service, or law enforcement preferred.
Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
Proficiency in the use of radios, reporting tools, and other security technologies.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
