Summary
Key Responsibilities- Conduct perimeter patrols and interior patrols on foot or as assigned.
- Monitor access points, control crowd flow, and prevent unauthorized entry.
- Detect, deter, and respond to criminal activity or safety concerns.
- Safely carry and maintain authorized firearms in accordance with Louisiana law and company policy.
- De-escalate confrontations using verbal commands and conflict-resolution techniques
- Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, fire alarms, and evacuations.
- Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and shift documentation.
- Coordinate with the New Orleans Police Department, the State Police, and emergency responders as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and deliver courteous customer service to guests, staff, and clients.
- Active Louisiana Armed Security Guard License issued by the State of Louisiana
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age: 21 years old
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and firearms qualification.
- Strong communication, observation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-pressure environments.
- Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, including outdoor assignments.
- Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Experience working in large-scale events, festivals, nightlife venues, or hospitality properties.
- CPR / First Aid / AED certification
- Crowd-control or executive-protection experience.
- Familiarity with New Orleans event operations and venue security needs.
- Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Assignments may take place in indoor and outdoor environments.
- High-visibility posts requiring extended standing or walking.
- Fast-paced and dynamic environments, particularly during festivals and nightlife operations.
