Summary
Job Title
The duties of this position include:
- Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining the area's recreational opportunities, including NPS interpretive services, concession operated facilities and services, campground availability, hiking trails, etc.
- Perform assignments in accordance with all NPS and U.S. Treasury regulations governing the handling of government funds
- Troubleshoot issues with fee program related technologies and equipment that include hardware, software, and peripheral devices such as hand-held devices, computers, point-of-sale (POS) equipment, registers, tablets, mobile phones, scanning devices, AFMs, and reservation systems.
- Prepare and complete remittance reports and bank deposits for funds donated and/or collected by others. Review shift reports and count funds collected; Investigate and proactively resolve routine or recurring discrepancies, and track overages, shortages, and errors.
- Inventory and/or restock fee program supplies and assist with placing orders and preparing requisition requests for equipment/supplies as needed.
