    Title: Traffic Control Flagger / Technician

    Part-time employee

    Overview: Implement and maintain traffic control plans in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements.

    Description: The Patriot Group is seeking a reliable and hardworking Traffic Control Flagger / Technician to join our team. As a Traffic Control Flagger / Technician at The Patriot Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our team members and the public by implementing and maintaining traffic control plans in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects that have a direct impact on our community.

    Responsibilities

    1. Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades

    2. Direct traffic flow to ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and workers. Monitor and adjust patterns as needed while following all safety guidelines.

    3. Communicate effectively with team members, construction crews, drivers, and project managers to coordinate traffic control plans

    4. Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control devices as needed

    5. Follow safety guidelines and regulations at all times

    6. Implement and maintain traffic control plans in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements.

    7. Discuss traffic routing plans, type and location of control points with supervisor.

    8. Warn construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.

    9. Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.

    10. Record license number of traffic control violators for police.

    11. Observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.

    12. Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew

    Requirements

    1. High school diploma or equivalent

    2. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

    3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

    4. Experience controlling the movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects is preferred.

    5. Flagger Certification OR be willing to complete company provided training

    6. Willing to work overtime and in all types of weather conditions

    7. Dependable and able to commit to long hours of work when necessary

    8. Walk/Stand for long periods of time

    9. Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check

    10. Ability to speak, read, and write in English
