Work is performed in both an office setting and in the field, in varied weather conditions. Work schedule may include evening and extended work hours. Lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, stooping, and digging and excavating by hand required. Arduous physical exertion may be required in unusual situations. Manual and finger dexterity required. May be subject to exposure to CRT's, VDT's, heat, smoke, contagious diseases, blood borne pathogens, and mental anguish under emergency conditions. Selected candidate must submit to and pass a County paid pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening. Additionally, selected candidate must submit to and pass a county paid criminal background screening. Selected candidate must possess an EMT Basic License from the State of New Mexico within one (1) year of hire and maintain licensure, failure to do so will result in termination of employment. Selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Class E Driver's License with no accountable violations during the past three (3) years as incumbent shall be appointed to drive a County vehicle during the performance of his/her duties.
