Summary
AIT is seeking a Dispatcher II! We are flexible on start time, if needed along with extra hours to be earned on the weekends, if applicable. The Dispatcher II is responsible for overseeing and documenting the pickup and delivery of local shipments, as well as coordinating and communicating shipment information between drivers and delivery agents. Responsibilities Responsible for routing local freight, dispatching drivers, performing dock checks, tracking shipments, working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight. Timely event data entry of shipment milestones into My. AIT & AS 400 tracking system - pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery. Provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs. Answer/make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns/complaints. Assign driver load planning based on local mapping & appointments accordingly. Identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments.
