    Position Description

    Responsible for all duties related to safely controlling traffic through work zones. Will be properly trained in flagging techniques, accident evasion, cone placement and safety. Experience in asphalt or road construction is a plus but not required. Previous traffic control certification is not required.

    Position Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach push, pull, stand, and walk.
    • One year of verifiable work experience preferred.
    • Must maintain a reasonable attendance record.
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
    • Ability to communicate with Co-Workers over radio, by hand signals as well as communicate with the public with courtesy.
    • Highly motivated with a positive attitude
    • Strong work ethic with situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment.
    • Will be required to perform substance abuse screening.
    • Available to work some weekends and nights if needed.
    • Promote and maintain a safe working environment for fellow employees and the public
    • Must be able to work in various temperatures, both hot and cold.
