However, the locum surgeon may be asked to cover 24-hour beeper call on weekends when the main clinician is unavailable. • Board Certification: Candidates must be board certified in Plastic Surgery.
• Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in California (CA).
• Certifications:
  • BLS is required.
  • Other certifications like ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS are not necessary for this position.
• Hospital Privileges: Hospital or surgery center privileges are required, though temporary privileges are not available. The credentialing process is estimated to take 60-90 days, so candidates should be prepared for this timeframe.
