    Job Description:Your knowledge of anesthesiology can help our Soldiers when they need it most. When you practice in your community and serve when needed on the U.S. Army Reserve health care team, youll have the opportunity to utilize the most advanced medical therapies. Youll also enjoy benefits such as financial incentives, paid continuing education and student loan repayment programs.Benefits include: Health Professional Special Pay of $75,000 for eligible specialties, paid in three yearly increments of $25,000 Health Professionals Loan Repayment of up to $250,000 (maximum of $40,000 per year) may be applied toward qualified school loans Paid continuing education and training Non-contributory retirement benefits at age 60 with 20 years of qualifying service Low-cost life and dental insurance Travel opportunities, including humanitarian missions Commissary and post exchange shopping privileges Flexible, portable retirement savings and investment plan similar to a 401(k) Privileges that come with being an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve Training to become a leader in your fieldRequirements include: Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico Eligibility for board certification Completion of at least one year of an anesthesiology residency Between 21 and 42 years of age Permanent U.S. residencyNumerous positions are available worldwide.
