Job Details: Specialty: Surgeon - Cardiothoracic Rate Type: On Call (Daily) Shift Type: 24 Hour Shift Description: 7a-7a 24hr Call MANDATED Job Requirements: Board Certified - REQUIRED Active KY license - REQUIRED OR IMLC (IMLC LOQ MUST BE IN HAND AT TIME OF SUBMISSION) Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship - REQUIRED ACLS - REQUIRED Clean Malpractice/background - REQUIRED Availability statement at name clear - REQUIRED Disclosure of prior CHI/Dignity facility work - REQUIRED COVID VACCINATED - REQUIRED Job Description: Hospital is looking for a Cardiothoracic surgeon for call coverage. The provider is responsible for call, emergency surgery, and ED consults. Details: 10 days per month of on-call coverage starting as soon as credentialed. Setting: Inpatient/400-bed hospital located in Lexington, KY FTE: 1 Duties: All CT surgery Required Procedures: Chest Tubes, Potentially Line Placements, Take Back Hearts (Return to OR) EMR: EPIC Support Staff: Robust: PA's, hospitalists, Cardiologists, Pulmonologists Neurologists, Emergency Medicine Providers, etc. Reason for Coverage: Down to 2 surgeons and holes in call schedule This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in a hospital setting known for its excellence in healthcare.
