Position Overview- Location: Near Branchville, VA
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing
- Shift Type: 24-hour shifts
- Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM plus on-call coverage
- Weekend Requirements: Yes
- On-Call Requirements: Yes, including after office hours and weekends
- Coverage Reason: Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage
- Practice Settings: Office, hospital, operating room, and rounding
- Call Schedule: After office hours and on weekends
- Trauma Level/Designation: Not applicable
- Number of Operating Rooms: 1
- Documentation System/EMR: Epic
- Patient Age Demographic: Adult (18+)
- Scope of Services Required:
- Adult Cardiac Surgery
- General Thoracic Surgery
- Aortic Surgery:
- Descending Aortic Aneurysms
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery:
- CABG
- Redo Coronary Revascularization (with or without heart valve surgery)
- Arterial Revascularization (using internal mammary arteries, radial artery, and gastroepiploic artery)
- Pericardial Window
- Tube Thoracostomy
- Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms
- Thoracic Endoscopy:
- Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy
- Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy
- Chest Wall Resection and Reconstruction
- Mediastinal Surgery
- Vascular Surgery:
- Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery
- Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery (CoreValve System)
- Mitral Valve Repair
- Board Certification: Required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- State License: Virginia
