This role offers a broad scope of practice, including continuity care, hospital coverage, and teaching opportunities within a collaborative healthcare environment. Position Highlights Open to Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, or Pediatrics Hybrid role with outpatient clinic + inpatient responsibilities Participate in after-hours call and hospital coverage Opportunity to teach residents and precept NP students Full-scope primary care with continuity across care settings Practice Environment Combination of ambulatory clinic and hospital-based care Patient-centered, mission-driven organization Diverse patient population with strong community focus Collaborative, team-based clinical culture Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care to assigned patients Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions Coordinate care across: Lab services Specialty referrals Pharmacy and ancillary services Perform inpatient hospital care and attending responsibilities Participate in after-hours call rotation Academic & Administrative Responsibilities Teach and supervise: Physician residents Nurse Practitioner students Participate in: Departmental and team meetings Clinical policy development Quality improvement initiatives Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits offered Opportunities for teaching and academic involvement Stable organization focused on long-term provider success Qualifications MD or DO Completion of accredited residency in: Family Medicine Internal Medicine OB/GYN Pediatrics Board Certified (or within 2 years of start) Active, unrestricted Rhode Island medical license Work Schedule Full-time schedule (40+ hours/week) Minimum 32 clinical hours onsite Includes: Inpatient hospital responsibilities Evening/weekend coverage Rotating 24-hour call shifts Work Environment & Requirements Moderate physical activity (standing, walking, procedures) Exposure to infectious diseases and clinical risks Travel between clinic and hospital required Strong communication skills required Bilingual skills (Spanish or Laotian) preferred Ideal Candidate Passionate about full-spectrum primary care Comfortable in both outpatient and inpatient settings Interested in teaching and mentoring Team-oriented with strong clinical judgment and adaptability
