    Quality PPAP SpecialistMon-Fri | 7:00AM - 4:30PM
    Salary is dependent on experience and certifications
    A local manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality PPAP Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) within their automotive Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring that manufactured components consistently meet customer requirements, safety standards, and IATF 16949 regulations prior to full-scale production. This is a critical quality role that requires strong cross-functional collaboration, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
    Responsibilities:
    • Prepare, review, and submit the 18 standard PPAP elements including Design Records, FMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC for customer approval
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to identify and mitigate potential quality risks
    • Ensure PPAP packages adhere to Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) for OEMs such as Toyota, Volvo, and International
    • Validate product or process changes (e.g., tooling moves, material swaps) and submit updated documentation for customer approval.
    • Apply the 5 AIAG Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC in daily quality functions.
    • Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies.
    • Perform and support internal and lead audits in accordance with IATF 16949 standards.
    • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in compliance with all applicable standards
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
    • 2-5+ years of experience in automotive supplier quality or a related quality role.
    • Deep knowledge of PPAP processes and AIAG Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
    • Certifications required: IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
    • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies including 8D and Six Sigma.
    • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
    • Must not have an allergy to rubber-based materials.
