Job Overview To provide a high level of customer service to Internal and External Customers, by following policies and procedures and theability to release correct information by guideline through Public Information Act.
Responsibilities • Review/Approved Officers and Telephone Reporting Unit (TRU) reports for accuracy, spelling and missing Information
• Assist in releasing and searching records from government agency or other law enforcement
• Assist front counter (cashiering) efficiently and accurately enter transactions to the cash register; balance cash drawer, complete daily balance/deposit
• Traffic clerk mails out all approved traffic accidents and email any traffic accidents pertaining to TXDOT property
• Greet/direct walkin in clients
• Answer phone calls and provide internal/external customer service
• Distribute mail; maintain inventory and supply orders
• Review/approve Officer/TRU reports
• Assist front counter (cashiering); enter transactions into cash register; balance cash drawer and complete daily balance/deposit
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assist the public with open record requests
• Providing and meeting the needs of all government agencies requesting reports thru phones, email walk-Ins
• Searching records thru I/Leads, Old RMS (Phoenix), Cad, vlslweb and netviewer.
• Assist the front counter in translating for Spanish speaking customers
• Review/Approve Officers/TRU reports
• Enter transactions in cash register, balance drawer, complete daily balance/deposit
• Vendor liaison; update permits; research invoices and appeals, provide program info to the public
• Maintain permit records, incident research, address verifications, and monthly billing amounts
• Train new employees on report review
• Ensure all records (stolen vehicles, runaways, license plates, boat motors, stolen weapons, protective orders) are complete, accurate, or active that have been entered into TCIC/NCIC by this agency and certification letter returned to DPS by deadline
• Enter protective order from county or family violence
• Review/approve Coplogic reports
• Search records through I/Leads, Old RMS, Net Viewer, Cads, and Visiweb
• Scan victim statements, mental commitment forms, impound sheets, attachments, auto theft/burglary affidavits, report requests, jackets, handwritten reports, supplemental reports and other documents into RMS
• Process CD's from property
• Update juvenile jackets and spreadsheet
• Process expungements, file documents, process files for offsite storage
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work • Non-Exempt - Full-Time
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

Qualifications • High School Diploma / GED
• Two (2) years of experience
Licenses and Certifications • TCIC/NCIC Certification within six (6) months of hire
• TLETS Certification upon hiring
• CJIS Certification upon hiring
Required • A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
