Linchpin Software is growing, and we're looking for a DevOps & Cloud Engineer who wants to be part of something new, impactful, and technically exciting. This role puts you at the center of deploying a brand-new enterprise system—working side-by-side with software developers, architects, and mission stakeholders to build a modern, scalable, automated platform from the ground up. If you love solving complex engineering problems, improving pipelines, shaping cloud infrastructure, and being hands-on with the full technology stack, this is the opportunity to make your mark. Key Responsibilities:
1. Enhance DevOps pipelines using GitLab runners to streamline build, test, and deployment workflows
2. Mature and expand Terraform to manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
3. Build, maintain, and optimize Docker containers across a growing set of services
4. Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters using EKS or equivalent platforms
5. Work directly with core system components such as search engines, databases, and integrated middleware
6. Automate everything possible to reduce manual effort and improve reliability
7. Support integration across cross-domain systems in a unique mission environment
8. Join collaborative development, testing, and troubleshooting sessions across the engineering team Desired Skill Sets:
1. Experience with AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms), with AWS strongly preferred
2. Scripting skills with bash, python, and yaml tools preferred
3. Curiosity and eagerness to learn integration across the full software development stack—pipelines, infrastructure, applications, and tooling Requirements:
1. Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant DevOps, cloud engineering, or full-stack infrastructure experience
2. Ability to work full-time, 100% onsite, at our Washington, DC office (no remote work available)
