Lead Government Travel Business Controllership AnalystGE Aerospace is seeking the Lead Government Travel Business Controllership Analyst. The role focuses on developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting training sessions, and auditing travel expenses to ensure compliance with government accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government accounting, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.Essential ResponsibilitiesCreate, update, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to government accounting and travel expense management.Ensure SOPs align with applicable government regulations, policies, and industry best practices.Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on government accounting standards, travel expense policies, and SOPs.Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure understanding and compliance across the organization.Conduct regular audits of travel expenses to ensure compliance with government accounting standards and organizational policies.Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and recommend corrective actions as needed.Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.Build positive relationships with customers, improve communications and ensure timely follow-up to government questions.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or leadership position.Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint (Pivot Tables, data sorting, basic lookups) for data analysis.Strong knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements related to travel expenses (FAR, FTR, CAS).Proven experience in developing SOPs and conducting training programs.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Desired QualificationsDigital acumenStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsExperience leading initiatives/projects to closure; effective in root cause identification and resolutionProven analytical and organizational abilityThe base pay range for this position is $95,900.00 - 127,800.00 USD annually.
