Senior Yard Staff
The Senior Yard Staff safely receives, merchandises, uses inventory accountability practices, operates MHE, and facilitates check-out of items. They utilize a heavy mechanical aptitude to complete repairs and maintenance on items. They may perform their duties at customer locations, RB Global facilities, and/or Government Locations. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff.
The responsibilities include acting as a lead or coordinating assigned activities, receiving/releasing inventory, performing joint physical inventories at government locations, using systems to track and process inventory, driving/operating heavy and light equipment, performing facility inspections and providing housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary, performing maintenance and heavy repairs on equipment, merchandising and inspecting items for sale, boosting equipment, performing complex demilitarization and deidentification, checking fluid and fuel levels on equipment, assisting in coordinating logistics, interacting with customers, traveling to other locations as needed, and performing other duties as assigned.
The qualifications include good customer service to both internal and external customers, a high school diploma or GED required, travel up to 80% may be required, and the ability to lift 80 pounds regularly.
