SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Dispatch Associate for a large, well-known client in Itasca, IL. The Dispatch Associate will be responsible for the coordination and performance in all areas of the transportation services through fixed schedules and workload requirements. The designated staff of the team will be assigned to track & trace all inbound and outbound domestic shipments; domestic, monitoring all shipments in route to and from the facility to the final processing gateway or vendor, and escalating any exceptions. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include M-F 7am-3:30pm.

Responsibilities of the Dispatch Associate:

• Responsible for tracking the on-time performance of arranged pick-up and transportation services with approved vendors throughout the assigned region.
• Regularly evaluate drivers, agents' and vendors' performance, with internal escalations of service failures for internal teams to resolve.
• Provide solutions to low-margin existing business.
• The candidate is responsible for all related TSA/IAC documents and vendor accountability.
• Designated staff will track, trace, and monitor all domestic and international shipments to and from the Facility, escalating any exceptions to vendors or processing gateways.
• Support of internal departments: Operations, Customer Service, Accounts Payable, supporting requests for invoice approval, PODs, proof of posting, or general service expectations.
• This position will interact with other regional peers and may require direct instruction to internal departments and operations on the preparation, documentation, and packaging of inbound or outbound shipments or consolidations.
• Responsible for monitoring and investigating workplace accidents and injuries, including the comprehensive collection of documentation, photographic evidence, and video footage.
• Oversees fleet operations, ensuring all vehicles maintain regulatory compliance and satisfy all documentation requirements

Preferred Qualifications of the Dispatch Associate:

• Data entry, Email, Word, and Excel experience.
• Industry-related or equivalent export experience with domestic shipping and TSA requirements.
• Prior experience in the logistics field or transportation of 6 months minimum.
• Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, frequently push, pull, bend, reach, and lift up to 49 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
