    Job Summary:

    At LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc., the Firefighter plays a key role in fire prevention, fire protection, and emergency response activities within a 24/7 on-site Emergency Prevention Center. This role is responsible for ensuring the readiness and effectiveness of fire protection systems, life safety equipment, and emergency response operations across the battery manufacturing campus. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, the Fire Prevention Officer drives fire safety compliance, hazard prevention, and emergency response efforts to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead fire prevention, fire protection, and emergency response operations across the manufacturing campus, including emergency monitoring and dispatch.
    • Manage and maintain the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and ensure readiness of emergency response systems and procedures.
    • Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, pumps, extinguishers, and related equipment.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA, IFC, and applicable regulations.
    • Lead and participate in emergency response activities, including firefighting, medical response, and technical rescue operations such as confined space, machine extraction, and elevator rescue.
    • Plan, develop, and lead training programs, drills, and emergency exercises, including management of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
    • Conduct and oversee fire and life safety inspections, audits, and code compliance reviews, including review of building plans and construction drawings.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies (fire departments, EMS, regulatory bodies) to ensure compliance, preparedness, and effective emergency response.
    Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in industrial, municipal, or emergency response firefighting environments.
    • Firefighter I & II certification required.
    • Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) licensed EMT-Basic (EMT-B) or higher.
    • Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Operations and/or Technician level certification required.
    • Certification in Incident Command System (ICS 100/200) and National Incident Management System (NIMS/IS-700) or equivalent.
    • Experience in technical rescue operations, including confined space, machine extraction, and/or elevator rescue.
    • Strong knowledge of NFPA, IFC, and applicable fire and life safety codes and regulations.
    • Experience leading or supporting emergency response teams, drills, and training programs.
    Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports, presentations, and documentation.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
    • Self-motivated with a professional and positive attitude.
    Requirements:
    • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation (minimum one week every two months) to support emergency response operations.
    • The role requires a combination of desk-based work and physically demanding activities, including extended periods of sitting as well as strenuous physical exertion such as climbing stairs and ladders, running, lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds, and working in confined or restrictive spaces.
    • Ability to perform duties in high-risk and emergency environments, including fire, hazardous materials incidents, and rescue operations.
    • Ability to wear and operate in personal protective equipment (PPE), including protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), for extended periods.
    • Ability to perform repetitive physical movements, including bending, lifting, stooping, stretching, and positioning of patients or equipment under adverse conditions.
    • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of an NFPA-compliant firefighter physical examination.
