    Position: Of Counsel / Independent Contractor (Remote – Federal Brief Writing)Social Security Disability Federal Appeals THE FEDERAL APPEALS FIRM is one of the largest law firms in the nation exclusively dedicated to Social Security Disability federal appeals, with a team of 10 attorneys and 7 support staff focused solely on this highly specialized practice area.We are seeking Of Counsel contract attorneys with outstanding legal writing ability to join our remote team. This is a rare opportunity to focus exclusively on federal brief writing—without the burden of client acquisition or administrative tasks—while being part of a national leader in Social Security Disability litigation.Position Summary The Of Counsel attorney will:Draft high-quality appellate briefs in Social Security Disability cases at the Federal District Court level, with occasional assignments at the Circuit Court level.Work remotely in coordination with our team to help maintain the firm's exceptional remand (win) percentage and reputation for excellence.Be assigned a consistent, full case load, depending on performance.Compensation Commission-based (fee sharing) modelPay is a percentage of fees collected on assigned casesEstimated compensation: $70,000 to $150,000+ annually, depending on caseload volume and success rateCases are assigned to you — no client outreach or marketing requiredRequirements Must be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionDemonstrated excellence in legal writing, especially in federal court contextsStrong work ethic and ability to meet performance standards, including a target win/remand ratePrior experience in federal appeals, administrative law, or Social Security Disability litigation is preferred but not requiredApplication Instructions Please email the following to TheFederalAppealsFirm@gmail.com :ResumeCover LetterTwo (2) high-quality legal writing samples (briefs or motions; no pleadings)Subject line: Application – Of Counsel Position NOSSCRPlease do not call.
