Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED in English
Texas Certified Basic Training for Security Guard Officers (Level II Required and Level III Preferred) Texas Certified Police Officer/DPS Certificate or Pre-Service Correctional Officer's Certificate.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Must have License to Carry
Must pass Guardian program certification
Must pass background check
Must pass annual testing of Texas Cert. Basic Training for Security Guard Officers
Must comply with District Security Guard Dress Code
Must comply and pass random drug testing
Be at least five years older than the average high school seniors
Able to work with campus administrators, staff, and students, treating them courteously and fairly
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
Experience:
To assist in a supervisor capacity in the provisions for the security and protection of all students, staff, and property
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable
