    Overview This is a statewide advertisement for part‑time OPS Correctional Officer positions. The positions are limited to no more than 25.5 hours per week and are available across multiple Florida facilities.Compensation $22.00 HourlyMinimum Qualifications Must be certified as a Correctional Officer in Florida and have an active certification in good standing.Be at least 18 years of age.Be a United States Citizen.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Possess a valid driver's license.Not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement, and have not received a dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States.Pass a medical examination and drug test.Have a good moral character as determined by a background investigation.Next Steps to Becoming a Correctional Officer Complete the State of Florida application.
