The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provides for the fire safety and security of all personnel, contractors and visitors on site.
    2. Ensures all established policies set forth by Nissan and Prosegur are followed.
    3. Documents significant events and writes security reports as required.
    4. Communicates in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing.
    5. Participates in training to learn methods of improving performance and effectiveness.
    6. Motivates others to attain higher job performance.
    7. Responds to emergency situations as required.
    8. Notifies the Fire Brigade Sergeant of policy or procedures violations.
    9. Follows general appearance and uniform standards.
    10. Completes reports, daily activity logs and other documents in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
    11. Responds to fire alarms, connects hose, holds nozzle and directs water streams.
    12. Forces entry of premises for fire fighting, rescue and salvage operations uses chemical fire extinguishers, bars hooks, lines, and other equipment.
    13. Removes persons from danger, administers first aid to injured persons.
    14. Positions and climbs ladders to gain access to upper levels of buildings.
    15. Performs salvage operations such as throwing covers, sweeping water and removing debris.
    16. Carries charged hose line into structure for fire extinguishment.
    17. Physically able to wear complete set of protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.
    18. Participates in fire drills and attends training classes in fire fighting, first-aid, and related subjects.
    19. Performance of hazardous tasks under emergency conditions, which may involve extreme exertion under such handicaps as smoke and cramped surroundings.
    20. Performs extreme strenuous and physical labor for extended periods under some unfavorable conditions frequently lifting objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
    21. Performs duties requiring bending, crouching, stooping, climbing and crawling in buildings or close quarters that may be filled with smoke.
    22. Will be subject to call back in emergency situations during unscheduled work times.
    23. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    1. Thorough knowledge of fire safety policy, practices, procedures and techniques.
    2. Analyze situations and respond to or direct response quickly and appropriately to crisis and emergency situations.
    3. Prepare accurate and thorough written reports.
    4. Maintain effective working relationships and to maintain strict confidentiality.
    5. Cope with situations using discretion and diplomacy.
    6. Respond to complaints with tact and diplomacy.
    7. Use good judgment and maintain control in stressful situations.
    8. Attention to detail.
    9. Work with little or no supervision

    Physical Job Requirements:

    1. Physical Activity Ability to perform a full range of physical activities to include; running, prolonged standing and walking on hard surfaces, bending, stooping, crouching and squatting. Repeatedly, bending over at the waist, stooping, kneeling, squatting down, crouching, crawling, leaning over and reaching out from a standing position. Climbing stairs and ladders.
    2. Physical Requirements Ability to respond to emergency situations, which could require running for a prolonged period of time. Frequent lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
    3. Work Environment The Work Environment May Include Prolonged Exposure To Outside Elements

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Must have a valid Security Guard License
    • Must be willing to enroll in on site Fire Brigade class
