What you'll do
- Plans, assigns, supervises, and inspects custodial and general maintenance operations within municipal buildings and associated infrastructure to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained.
- Plans, assigns, supervises, and inspects the work of several crews of technical, skilled, and unskilled trades, utilities, and maintenance workers engaged in the maintenance, repair, construction, and alteration of municipal infrastructure; confers with engineering staff on technical aspects of projects and activities to ensure work meets standards.
- Establishes program goals and performance objectives for assigned activities in conformance with departmental goals and mission to support effective operations and accountability.
- Reviews, revises, and compiles budgets with assistance from subordinate supervisors; prepares cost estimates for materials, supplies, and personnel to support responsible use of public funds.
- Inspects work of assigned crews to determine compliance with instructions, technical quality, and acceptability of work to ensure maintenance needs are met.
- Coordinates major construction and maintenance activities with other divisions, departments, and agencies to minimize disruptions and maintain service continuity.

Qualifications
REQUIRES:- High school graduation and 6 years experience in maintenance and repair of buildings and/or infrastructure, including 3 years supervisory experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
