What you'll do
This position will act as the administrative assistant to Kansas City Health Department's Sexual Health Clinic.
- Provide customer service by assisting patients with registration and appointment scheduling to support efficient clinic operations and positive patient experiences.
- Handle billing, timekeeping, and payroll filing to ensure accurate records and timely processing.
- Perform clerical duties, including maintaining clinic supply inventory and placing orders to prevent service disruptions.
- Submit and track facilities service tickets to help maintain a safe, functional clinic environment.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes for program managers to support communication and follow-through.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and perform other administrative duties as assigned to support daily operations.

- Patients are registered accurately and scheduled efficiently, keeping clinic flow organized and timely.
- Administrative records, billing, and payroll documents are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Clinic supplies are consistently stocked, with orders placed proactively.
- Facilities issues are tracked and resolved without unnecessary delays.
- Program managers receive clear, timely administrative support they can rely on.

- High school graduation and 3 years of increasingly responsible secretarial and/or clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.
