    Position Overview

    Malamut Law is seeking a skilled and motivated Labor & Employment Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing public and private sector management clients in labor and employment disputes and a strong commitment to workplace justice.

    Responsibilities

    • Represent employers in labor and employment matters, including wage and hour claims, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and FMLA/ADA issues, and claims unique to public sector employment.
    • Handle traditional labor law matters including collective bargaining negotiations, investigations, and grievances.
    • Regular employer counseling for a wide variety of employment / labor law related issues.
    • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
    • Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings
    • Manage cases from intake through resolution
    • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
    • Contribute to case strategy and firm growth




    Qualifications

    • J.D. from an accredited law school
    • Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey mandatory. Pennsylvania or New York a plus.
    • Demonstrated experience in labor and employment law.
    • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
    • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a team
    • Commitment to client-centered representation
    Preferred Experience (Not Required)

    • Trial or arbitration experience
    • Employment Counseling Experience.
    • Experience with federal and state employment laws
    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary of $80,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and defined role.
