    Job Description

    As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.     Position Type: Full Time

    Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities while maintaining an armed post as assigned.
    • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
    • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and vehicle activity, and reporting unauthorized or suspicious behavior in accordance with post orders.
    • Support assigned operations by maintaining a visible presence, following armed post instructions, and completing required reports, logs, and other security-related documentation.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
    • Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
