Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Experienced in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness and customer service. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for an armed post at a defense-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, prohibited items, or policy violations according to site requirements.
• Support emergency and continuity procedures by assisting with evacuations, restricted area control, and other security-related duties based on the location's operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
