    About the Position

    We are seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator for a full-time, on-site position supporting our Clients in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, timely, and comprehensive cost estimates for government and military construction projects-helping us uphold our reputation for excellence and reliability in the federal contracting space.

    Location: Arlington, VA and Washington, DC

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction and renovation projects, ensuring full compliance with Army National Guard and broader government requirements.
    • Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and related documentation to prepare thorough estimates of time, materials, labor, and costs.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and key stakeholders to clarify scope and ensure alignment on project objectives.
    • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy, completeness, and best value.
    • Support contract negotiations with clear, data-backed cost analysis and recommendations.
    • Maintain current knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Department of Defense (DoD) and Army Corps of Engineers standards and procedures.
    • Contribute to the development of project schedules, risk assessments, and value engineering initiatives.
    • Participate in project handoff and post-award reviews to ensure estimates translate effectively into project execution.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 10 years of professional estimating experience, with significant experience supporting general contractors.
    • Extensive background working on federal, government, and military construction projects (including direct experience with DoD and Army Corps of Engineers standards and processes).
    • In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials across a wide range of project types.
    • Expertise in all phases of the estimating process, from conceptual budgets to detailed bids.
    • Advanced proficiency with estimating software (RSMeans, Sage Estimating, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and deliver on tight deadlines.
    • U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • In lieu of a degree, candidates with a high school diploma (or equivalent) and substantial additional relevant experience (15+ years in estimating, with a minimum of 10 years on government or military projects) will be considered.
    • Prior military service or direct experience supporting the Army National Guard.

    Security Requirements

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clear background check and fingerprinting; completed prior to onboarding.
