GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Under close to general supervision, performs semi-skilled to skilled technical crime scene investigation duties to identify, collect, preserve, photograph, compare fingerprints, and process other physical evidence at crime scenes; and Photograph, develop, print, enlarge and reduce photographs and to do other related work as required. This position also requires conducting accurate, effective evidence recordkeeping, maintaining evidence inventory and chain-of-custody, and preparation of evidence exhibits for court presentations and related courtroom testimony. Work is performed in accordance to Federal and State laws plus established policies and procedures with considerable need, after appropriate training is gained, for independent judgment and consistent exercising of a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. This is the entry level position within the Evidence Technician series. Employees in this classification will be provided opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and related training to perform the more routine or less complex tasks in processing and handling crime scene and evidence. Incumbents learn to identify, photograph, collect, and preserve physical evidence at crime scenes for laboratory analysis. Gathering, preserving, interpreting, and presenting crime scene evidence is done under close scrutiny of a supervisor and/or a full journey-level Evidence Technician II. Court testimony is limited to presentation of crime scene evidence. As experience, knowledge and skills are acquired, incumbents perform with less immediate supervision and continue to learn the full scope of duties and responsibilities. Advancement to the “II” level is based on demonstrated proficiency in performing the assigned functions, possession of essential licenses and/or certifications and completing the progression criteria established by the City. Attend post mortem examinations; obtain from medical examiner pathological samples and evidence for later clinical examination. Process hazardous and drug related material for fingerprints. Collect, photograph, preserve, identify and perform basic analysis of blood, ballistics, narcotics, tool marks and other types of physical evidence; perform physical match comparisons. Take various types of photographs of persons and objects including aerial photographs, develop prints; enlarge and mount color and black and white photographs. Examine and process post blast crime scenes. Conduct crime scene investigations to recognize, search for, collect and preserve all types of evidence; as to location of evidence. Implement chemically based techniques to extract, amplify, or identify evidence from a wide range of materials. Take and prepare physical impressions to attempt to connect evidence with suspects; prepare castings or tire impressions, foot/shoe impressions, hand impressions, tool and other type of impressions; analyze and prepare conclusions of evidence for use in court testimony. Operates, cleans, and maintains a variety of cameras, video equipment, and computers in the collection and presentation of crime scene evidence. Perform general analysis of handwriting and document samples, as assigned. Ensures safety of self while performing crime scene or evidence processing on collection sites to include traversing, entering and exiting sites. Works with chemicals, powders, and body fluids using personal protective equipment according to prescribed safety standards and regulations. May be required to use a respirator when performing duties requiring exposure to hazardous chemicals and evidence that may be biohazardous and carcinogenic. Prepares and utilizes presumptive tests, various chemicals, powders, compounds and casting materials used in photographic and/or forensic laboratory, preserving techniques as required. Performs weed and vegetation control and other general labor work as required. Repairs and maintains municipal water/wastewater system transmission mains, distribution lines, pumps, and all related industry items. Repairs and replaces water meters or registers. Makes emergency repairs and takes necessary steps to restore water service as quickly and efficiently as possible. Completes work orders and responding to customer contacts by making repairs, investigating water-related complaints and tests manholes for gases. Performs routine cleaning, inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to supervisor. Sets up and removes barricades, lane cones, and warning signs to channel traffic around work crews and work zone flagging. Assists with clean-up operations at accidents, spills, and other emergency situations. Assists with Blue Stake activities and other divisions and departments in water/utility-related activities. Performs pre and post-trip equipment according to CDL requirements. Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. Supervises and leads DOC Inmate Labor as trained and assigned. Provides excellent customer service to all contacts. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity. The Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course is seeking individuals willing to volunteer their time to help provide high-quality services to its customers and season pass holders. The common denominator of all volunteers on our course is the simple desire to give something back to the game that they love. Whether you have a lot of time to give or just a few hours a month, we would love to have you involved. As a volunteer at the Golf Course, you will be an ambassador of good will for the City of Kingman. Volunteer positions are unpaid. Essential Functions Starter: The Starter sets the tone for the tournament and is responsible for assembling the players, providing materials and information, starting the group on time and announcing players names. Golf Course Ranger: You will ensure that all golf needs of guests are met and that their golfing experience exceeds their expectations by providing excellent service and hospitality. Always maintain control of the golfers while they are on the course for the benefit of all who play. Ensure that each group has four players if possible and adheres to the rules and regulations that are set for our guests. Cater to our guests needs, keep the golf shop informed of pace of play on shotguns and split tee play. Maintain proper equipment and keep in radio/phone contact with the pro shop. Ensure players go to their #1 tee spots, and always park in an orderly fashion while waiting. Send groups to their respective course in the proper order. Greet each group in a friendly manner. Explain all distance markers. White Lines in front of greens. Keep carts on the Cart Paths near the greens (not parked in the fairway by the White Line. Use 90 degree rule (keep carts on Paths as much as they can). Ask each group to keep up with the group ahead of them. Remind guests to use sand and seed. Repair of their ball marks. Keep record of starting times and cart numbers for each group. Drive carts in a safe and prudent manner and park golf carts neatly in space provided. Travel golf course in a counter clockwise manner to locate the gaps quickly and solve large gaps before they occur. Must have valid Drivers License. The Sports Official is a broad classification and encompasses various assignments with department flexibility to assign employees to sub-classifications. The formal, reported classification title for employees will be Sports Official; however, employees will be assigned to sub-classification titles within the Sports Official classification depending upon assignment. With the assignment to a sub-classification(s), corresponding placement to pay assignment(s) will be determined based on duties to be performed and the meeting of wage qualifiers. Referee - Basketball (Youth) Applicants may need to have the ability to complete a basketball scorebook and or operate a score board/clock for basketball seasons. Wage Qualifiers : Level 1: Beginner, still learning rules, basic court mechanics, needs training and/or strong partner. Level 2: Basic rules knowledge, good mechanics, can handle game control. Can qualify to an employee with a minimum of 2 years experience and based on attendance and performance. High School Certification preferred. Level 3: Complete rules knowledge, excellent mechanics, ability to train and control game; and/or High School Certified for example, AIA, CIF, etc. Can qualify to an employee with 3 or more years experience and based on attendance and performance.
