Job Description and Duties MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) - NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT / CASCADE SECTOR / MCARTHUR-BURNEY FALLS MEMORIAL STATE PARK Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Job Description and Duties LIFEGUARD II (SEASONAL) - NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT / CASCADE SECTOR / MCARTHUR-BURNEY FALLS MEMORIAL STATE PARK Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKs program. The Lifeguard II reporting location is McArthur-Burney Falls State Park; 24898 Hwy 89, Burney, CA. The LG II works under the direction of the Sector Supervising Ranger. The normal work hours are 10-hour shifts occurring between the hours of 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, up to five days per week including weekends, holidays and during special events. This is an Actual Time Worked (ATW) position working approximately 40 hours per week for a maximum of 1500 hours or 189 days in a 12-month period. The LG II acts as a lead-person for the seasonal lifeguard series to provide oversight of aquatics programs and facilities located in the area; assists in training; planning work schedules and assignments; dispatching and leading a group of seasonal lifeguards engaged in lifesaving activities.
