The NDOT IT Division is recruiting for an IT Professional 4 Networks Architect in Carson City for a critical role. The incumbent will serve as a Network Cloud-solutions Architect and Networks Technical Lead among the four-person team, comprised of our Networks Supervisor, and two other Networks Engineers. The incumbent and team are responsible for understanding the methodology for implementing distributed applications; network authentication; network security; administering network communications hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls; ensuring systems integration, hardware, and data communications; managing virtual private networks and virtual LANs; monitoring network performance trending and utilization; collaborate on network design and architecture; understanding interconnections between cloud-based and on-premises network resources; and assisting with deployment of cloud-based network resources and devices.
