Department of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting for
Public Health Dietitians* who plan, develop, implement, and evaluate community nutrition programs for targeted populations. Immediate vacancies exist within the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program and Nutrition and Wellness Services . Program placement is based upon organizational/staffing coverage needs.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel/Driver License: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.
Travel throughout the County may include multiple offices within a specified region, such as the High Desert (e.g., Victorville, Barstow), Low Desert (e.g., 29 Palms, Yucca Valley), and surrounding San Bernardino areas.
Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening.
Visa Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require Visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in the United States at the time of employment.
Hybrid Telework Program: The County allows for the use of telework to County employees where business needs permit to efficiently serve the community and maintain employee productivity during public health emergencies. Candidates, upon successful completion of a probationary period, may potentially have the option to telework based on their assignment.

Minimum RequirementsRegistration: Must possess and maintain current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian.
Desired QualificationsApplicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
Candidates fluent in Spanish with experience in an clinical/outpatient setting are highly desirable.
