Position Summary
The Dispatcher serves as the central point of communication between customers, technicians, and internal team members. This position is responsible for coordinating service calls, scheduling technicians, managing workloads, and ensuring prompt, professional service delivery. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispatch service calls and assign work orders to technicians in an efficient and timely manner.
- Coordinate and manage daily technician schedules, routes, and workloads.
- Communicate appointment details, schedule changes, and service updates to customers.
- Prioritize emergency service requests and adjust schedules as business needs change.
- Monitor open work orders and ensure timely completion of service requests.
- Coordinate follow-up visits and return service calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate records within dispatch and business management systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional and courteous communication.
- Work closely with technicians, managers, and administrative staff to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist with branch operations and administrative support as needed.
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of dispatching, scheduling, or service coordination experience.
- Prior experience in HVAC, refrigeration, foodservice equipment repair, or a related service industry preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient typing and data entry skills with a high accuracy level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dispatch management software.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.
- Experience with service management platforms such as Corrigo, EcoTrack, Vixxo, ServiceChannel, or similar systems is preferred.
Compensation Transparency
The advertised pay range for this position is $18-$25. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and market conditions.
