Summary
CES is looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted. The inspection is used to establish a retailer's compliance with federal regulations. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis, with flexibility relevant to the individual's schedule and the role is subject to federal service contract labor standards. Duties/Responsibilities: Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify site address provided Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable Required qualifications/skills: Must maintain employment with the State of Ohio Reliable transportation Attention to detail Strict adherence to deadlines and privacy Law Enforcement employees are strongly encouraged to apply Office Equipment (if a WFH position): Smartphone Personal computer/laptop with high speed internet access Other: All Compliance Inspectors will complete online training modules Must be able to undergo a security clearance background check and become credentialed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
