    The Deputy Director of Economic & Community Development is a key member of the Department’s leadership team, providing high-level support to the Director and helping advance the City’s strategic priorities through planning, program development, and operational oversight. This role plays a central part in shaping Palmdale’s growth and economic vitality by coordinating complex projects across City departments, public agencies, and the development community. The City of Palmdale is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and service-oriented leader who brings both vision and execution to this role. The ideal candidate is passionate about economic development, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering high-quality service to the community. This individual brings strong knowledge of public sector administration, including program development, budgeting, contract administration, and regulatory compliance.

     

    The annual salary range for the Deputy Director of Economic & Community Development is $162,660 - $207,564; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
