Biography
Welcome from the Dean
At SPEA, we address the issues of the day with both outstanding research and practical applications in a way that prepares you for the world of tomorrow. And we do what we do very well—we consistently rank in the top tier of schools of public affairs in the national rankings.
Even better, this year we have welcomed several new faculty members who are already making a difference and leading our school into the future. You can see who they are by going here.
Also looking to the future, we have created a report that offers a vision of what SPEA might look like in 2015, including some organizational reforms that may help transform the vision into reality. SPEA in the next few years will be an even stronger center of scholarly productivity and will serve our graduates whose careers span the public, non-profit and for-profit sectors.
The school’s broadening globalization is already being realized in the expanded programs of studies in several countries around the world through SPEA Overseas Education. Additionally we are strengthening our research in energy policy, sustainable development and the prevention of poverty, and building on traditional strengths in public finance, management of non-profit and public sectors, and arts administration.
I invite you to browse our website. And please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you on campus.
Best regards,
John D. Graham, Ph.D.
