Previously, she spent 18 years at Government Computer News, as managing editor, news editor and writer. She finds government IT endlessly fascinating because of the technology-mission connection and the driven nature of people who choose federal service. In her former spare time, before her family-of-four years, she liked to read a book in one or two sittings and dive wrecks along the Carolina shores and reefs around any Caribbean island. | |
AMY SCHURR Managing Editor – [email]Amy has more than 15 years experience as a technology editor, with more than a dozen years spent in the telecommunications arena,including 10 years with International Data Group’s Network World. She also was on the Ziff-Davis PC Week team that launched the specialized Netweek edition focusing on networking products. Amy spent five years as senior managing editor for Network World’s features group, where she oversaw content for features articles in print and online as well as the Management Strategies and Technology Updates sections. | |
BRAD SOWELL Senior Editor – [email]Brad is a senior editor for StateTech magazine and works closely with media relations and other professionals to develop articles for the magazine. Brad was most recently a public relations specialist at S&S Public Relations. Before that, he handled public affairs for the U.S. Department of Energy. When not following the Cubs and Hawkeyes religiously, Brad is an avid distance runner and has been competing in races across the Midwest for more than 15 years. |
