Inglewood, CA
Inglewood is a mid-sized city that is located in southwestern Los Angeles County in California. Although the city previously suffered a bad reputation due to riots and higher than average levels of criminal activity, crime levels have dropped significantly over the past two decades and the city is transforming into a very desirable destination for relocation. It is the 55th largest city in California. The median age there is 33.3, and 41% of residents 15 and older report being married. The city of Inglewood is currently in the process of undergoing a magnificent transformation that is expected to bring thousands of jobs and a bright new future to the community. The City of Champions Revitalization Project, a 298 acre development that is to include residential, retail, office, hotel, casino, and park space along with the new Rams Stadium will soon draw thousands of visitors and new residents to the area. The massive development project is estimated to bring approximately $25 million in annual tax revenue to Inglewood, and major sporting events, concerts and other special events will definitely add a boost to the local economy as well.

 

While commute time in Inglewood is a bit longer, with an average of about 30 minutes one way, public transit is widely available in the community which can save on fuel, reduce air pollution and help keep highways congestion free. And with Los Angeles International Airport less than 5 miles from downtown, long distance travelers are often delighted.
