Survey Party Technicians perform survey and layout work on engineering and mapping projects in the field and in the office under general supervision. This role plays a vital part in collecting and laying out data for the City's design and construction operations. Several full-time positions available with the Water Department, Engineering Planning Division located at 4800 E. 63rd St. Salary Range: $23.98-$36.60/hour Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Application Deadline Date: May 06, 2024 Responsibilities Develops and maintains departmental spatial data in coordination with the city's overall GIS program. Perform data collection, conversion, and analysis in an enterprise database system. Integrates spatial data with business systems including the asset management systems to support departmental processes for water, wastewater and/or stormwater infrastructure. Generates reports, maps, graphs, charts, or other output in support of departmental business processes. Qualifications REQUIRES high school graduation and 5 years of related and increasingly responsible experience in engineering drawing, mapping, automated mapping, GIS and equipment, CADD, engineering, land survey, construction inspection and related fields; OR high school graduation and 2 years of experience at the level of Engineering Technician and possession of either the Level II Engineering Technology Certification in any Civil, Electrical or Mechanical discipline as issued by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET); the Land Surveyor in Training as issued by the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Professional Landscape Architects; OR the Class B Wastewater Collections System Certification from the Missouri Water Environmental Association; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical as prescribed by the City. Some flexibility in scheduling. This is a pipeline posting to recruit for vacant registered nurse positions in the Section for Health Standards and Licensure. In these positions, you are a surveyor/inspector (Registered Nurse/RN) within the Section for Health Standards & Licensure, the State agency with regulatory oversight of various regulated healthcare providers including hospitals, ambulatory surgery, dialysis, home health and hospice. We are regulators who ensure healthcare providers comply with the rules and provide quality care to Missouri residents. You will be a telecommuter working from your home office when you are not out completing surveys/inspections across Missouri. You will learn the Federal Regulations and State laws pertaining to various healthcare providers. These regulations are used when going onsite to conduct surveys/inspections/investigations.
